A Call For Prayers, Positive Thoughts, Well Wishes - Whatever You Are Able To Do!

To all of my friends in the blogging world...if you are reading this, please offer up a prayer, a positive thought, a well wish...heck take a moment of silence and offer up time for the health of one of my friends.

This person has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor. And I know this person needs every bit of help, support, and courage that can be mustered.

I believe that God hears us, and I know that Jesus listens when we talk...and I know that you all have different beliefs and different religions, but one thing is true. God is always listening...

So God...whoever you hold that to be...hears all prayers...so offer them up everyone!

Thank yo so much!

The Secret of Life - What A Mystery!

How many of us actually spend time pondering the meaning of life? I can't speak for the rest of the world, but I for one actually do spend time thinking about this unanswerable question.

Do I take the religious approach? - the secret of life is serving God!

Do I take the secular approach? - the secret of life is self indulgence!

Do I take the altruistic approach? - the secret of life is to serve humanity!

Do I take the subjective approach? - the secret of life is different for each individual!

Do we make this simple question more complex than it needs to be? I will let each of you decide what the answer to the question is...

Some Fun And Interesting Quotes

"I do not pine over that which I cannot have and do not want!" - Me, 2007

"There are two kinds of artists left: those who endorse Pepsi and those who simply won't." - Annie Lennox, 1990

"I didn't make the rules. I only live by them." - said by everyone at some point

"The meeting of TWO PERSONALITIES is like the contact of two chemical substances; if there is any REACTION both are TRANSFORMED." - Jung

"If you don't like someone, the way he holds his spoon will make you furious; if you do like him, he can turn his plate over into your lap, and you won't mind." - Irving Becker

These last two quotes I actually read online on a person's profile but I thought they were so good, I had to post them here.

Hope you all enjoy them - take care!

A Song From My Past - Burning Times by Rumors Of The Big Wave

The year was 1993. I was a freshman in high school, and my sister was a senior. She had this CD that I became fascinated with. It was by a band called Rumors of The Big Wave. I say that I became fascinated with the CD, but rather it was one song that truly caught my attention.

The song was called "Burning Times" - This song is about the witch burnings and the Inquisition carried out in the middle ages by the Church. The atrocities committed against the women of the time out of fear by a male dominated church, etc.

Now whether you agree or disagree with this, I encourage you to listen to this song.

I have always thought of this song over the years, but only recently found it online.

Enjoy!

A Tribute To Three Friends Who Have Passed On - I Miss You!

So back in high school I worked at Krogers as a bagger and as a cashier. I knew a girl there named Donna. She was sweet and wonderful to be around. In college I knew two women named Adrianne and Miriam. I met them through church and they were great.

Looking back they each added something to my life whether it be small or large. Their memories have stayed with me over the years. Sadly, they each passed away from auto accidents.

But I wear a constant reminder of them and what they meant to me in my life.

3 rings around my neck - 1 for each of them!
